A new audio task is now live on Perle Labs!

Today, we’re opening up MedicalAudio Quest, a new quest built around something the community has been asking for: clear, meaningful tasks that have real-world impact.

‍

This quest focuses on collecting high-quality spoken medical language. The way health information is shared out loud matters, whether it’s instructions, reminders, or general guidance. By contributing your voice, you’re helping shape datasets that reflect how people communicate about health in everyday situations.

What You’ll Do

Medical Audio Quest is intentionally simple and accessible.

‍

You’ll record yourself reading a short, provided script in English using a neutral, natural tone. There’s no pressure to get it perfect on the first try. You can re-record as many times as you need before submitting.

‍

For each task:

• Read the script clearly and at a steady pace
• Make sure your audio is free from background noise
• Upload your final recording once you’re satisfied
• Click Submit Recording, then submit once more to finalize. You’ll see a QA pending status once your submission is successfully received

All submissions go through a human verification process, so scores may take some time to appear. Once approved, your recording contributes directly to building a stronger, more reliable dataset.

Why This Matters to the Community

A lot of AI systems struggle with spoken medical language, not because the information is complex, but because the data behind it isn’t always clear or consistent.

‍

This task is a great example of where human contributors make a real difference. Small choices in pacing, clarity, and tone are things AI can’t reliably create on its own.

By participating, you’re helping improve how AI:

• Interprets instructions and guidance accurately
