Our founding team brings deep expertise from some of the most transformative companies in AI and data infrastructure, including Scale AI, the $30B data labeling giant that powers AI systems for the U.S. Department of Defense. Scale AI's founder, Alexandr Wang, who our team was led by at Scale, now serves as Meta's Chief AI Officer following Meta's $14.3B investment in the company.

Ahmed Rashad: Founder & CEO

Ahmed brings a rare combination of operational excellence and strategic vision to Perle. An MIT graduate in Operations Research, he began his career in the oil industry before making the leap to tech, where he quickly proved his ability to scale complex operations.

At Amazon, Ahmed led several multi-billion-dollar businesses, honing his expertise in building systems that operate at massive scale. He then joined Scale AI as an early Head of Operations, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the company's operations more than 100x, laying the groundwork for Scale's rise to a $30B valuation.

At Perle, Ahmed is dedicated to advancing AI technology while empowering individuals and organizations to achieve their full potential. His experience building operational infrastructure at the highest levels makes him uniquely positioned to lead the development of the sovereign data layer that AI systems increasingly require.

Arthur Ding: Chief Commercial Officer

Arthur joins Perle with a formidable track record at the intersection of crypto, finance, and venture capital. Prior to Perle, he served as a Venture Partner at NGC Ventures, where he helped manage over $500M in assets and led investments in AI, DeFi, and infrastructure.

His background spans crypto market-making and centralized exchanges, where he specialized in statistical arbitrage, executing more than $2B in derivative trades, and developed trading infrastructure for top exchanges. This deep understanding of markets, liquidity, and Web3 infrastructure gives Perle a strategic edge as we build the bridge between sovereign AI data and decentralized verification.

Moe Abdelfattah: Head of Product Operations

Moe built his career at the cutting edge of AI operations. At Scale AI, he developed the operational expertise that comes from scaling data infrastructure at one of the industry's most demanding companies. He then brought that experience to EvenUp as Head of Product Operations, where he led the systems behind high-volume, expert-level data pipelines powering end-to-end legal AI workflows.

As a founding member and Head of Product Operations at Perle, Moe drives NLP growth, operations, and cross-functional execution across the platform. His hands-on experience building data systems that require human expertise and verification is essential to Perle's mission of delivering auditable, human-validated data infrastructure.

Together, our team combines Scale AI pedigree with deep expertise in operations, Web3, and product development. We've raised $17.5M led by Framework Ventures, HashKey, and CoinFund, investors known for backing foundational infrastructure, with participation from Protagonist, HashKey, and Peer VC.
